A trade born in 1848, designed for today.
This page presents, for academic purposes, the institutional identity this digital transformation prototype is built on.
The founding trade
Discounting advances a company the amount of a commercial receivable before it falls due, in exchange for a fee. It's one of the oldest banking trades, born from merchants' need to fund their activity without waiting for their customers to pay.
Why this thesis
This prototype examines how a historic banking trade can be translated into digital journeys without losing what gives it value: the relationship of trust between a bank and the business it finances.
What this prototype tries to show isn't a more impressive bank — it's a bank that explains itself better.
